Schaeffler wins Supplier of the Year Award from Gildemeister

Precision bearings manufacturer Schaeffler has received the 2011 Supplier of the Year Award in the Quality category from Gildemeister AG, a leading global manufacturer of machine cutting tools.

With this award, Gildemeister recognises the high quality standards that characterise both companies and that are essential both for long term survival in the international marketplace and for sustained customer relationships. Schaeffler supplies a range of products to Gildemeister including rotary table bearings, spindle bearings, screw drives and linear motion systems.

“This award in the Quality category is in recognition of Schaeffler as a supplier with whom we have been working very closely for several decades. ‘Zero defects in all processes and products’ is not only one of Schaeffler’s corporate principles, but also the result of a continuous policy of high quality that has successfully been implemented at Gildemeister,” said Timo Rickermann, Head of Corporate Purchasing at Gildemeister AG.

The Supplier of the Year Award honours the successful teamwork between Gildemeister and Schaeffler. In their manufacturing processes and development projects, both companies place their trust in each other’s expertise and products. As an integral part of Gildemeister machine tools, Schaeffler’s entire product range of high precision rotary table and spindle bearings, screw drive bearings and numerous linear technology components provide cost effectiveness and reliability.
